My brother was having an engagement party this past weekend, and we’ve had a bunch of family in town and staying with us, which is what lead us to order from Channi's Kitchen. Her food was delicious and made life a lot easier for us as we had good, desi food we could just warm up very quickly. The chicken tikka was especially popular with our family. The delivery drivers were super nice and explained everything on how to best warm up and store the food. We’ve been looking for a few years to have a similar service, so it was awesome that we finally found one. Channi also threw in a complimentary garlic naan, which we really appreciated. I would definitely order from Channi's Kitchen again.

I'm giving this pop-up 5 stars for a handful of reasons. First and most important is the food. I've tried everything they have and it's all well seasoned, tasty, and appeals to my tastebuds/palate. The meat and vegetarian chilli masalas are both rich with flavor, and the sauce has a great viscosity. It's not too thick are thin. The chicken biryana rice isn't sticky and falls apart nicely, and the chicken meat is juicy. The pastries are a must if you cannot grab anything else at the time; super flaky; very buttery. The service is speedy and friendly. And the friendliness provides a good ambiance for a quick exchange of ordering and food delivery--it is a pop-up which has no space to provide ambiance, yet they manage to provide a level of warmth and comfort to the customer. The prices are pretty fair. They pop-up on Friday evening at the Monrovia evening fest on Myrtle, and again on Saturday morning at the La Crescenta Flintridge Farmer's Market. Give them a try when able and let me know what ya think.
